BrewDog don’t do cookie-cutter employees. And so, Ladies and Gentlemen we would like to present to you, Jo Tennant, the latest addition to the BrewDog sales team and the face of Scotland.
From February 2010 Jo will be responsible for changing the demographic of craft beer drinkers in Scotland. Jo sold many a BrewDog beer when running the best beer shop in Scotland, Cornelius, and she's determined that good beer should not be the preserve of paunchy, menopausal males. Her background in cut-throat, international medical sales have stood her in good stead but she's much happier to now be selling something she believes in (and some might say BrewDog has it's own medicinal uses).
A mongrel breed with pedigree, Jo grew up in bare-footed South Africa and gum-chewing Essex; mix in a bit of California sun, Irish luck and some of Fife's fresh air to arrive at her delightful Lloyd Grossmanesque accent and interesting take on life. An Environmental Biologist by degree from St Andrews, a photographer by passion and an events organiser by compulsion: Jo is mad enough to regularly run half marathons in remote places. She can sometimes be found atop an elephant or on a bike (but mostly a horse) playing polo, or organising a quirky party for several hundred friends - wherever she is, she'll be getting to know 'the locals' in the pub.
If you know somewhere which doesn't stock BrewDog and you think should- let her know. Otherwise just drop her a line to say 'Hi' and make her feel welcome at jo@brewdog.com
