First plans of our proposed phase 2 brewery

In April we told you about the field we had bought where we want to build our new brewery:

Since then all the legal paperwork has been completed and our purchase formalised.

This is the site where we want to build our completely energy self sufficient state of the art BrewDog brewery.  A flagship for renewable energy; the vision is to have to build the world's first brewery powered only by windmills and biomass generators.

The main obstacle is going to be getting the necessary planning permissions for the project, this is going to be a long, fragmented, complicated and expensive drawn out process. We just want to be super nice to the enviroment, make good beers, excite imaginations, put something really cool in our local area, provide the local economy with jobs and revenue and build a rocking brewery on our field. However, as always, things are never just that simple.

Anyway we have now started the planning permission process and are preparing our initial submission after some consultations with local authorities.

Here is the first drawing we have of how the site will hopefully eventually look.

We will keep you updated as to how the planning process is going. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
