Abstrakt Launches on 16th April

After an elephantine incubation period Abstrakt is finally launching on the 16th of April. Abstrakt is our new concept beer brand.
• Abstrakt is a new type of beer brand which will only ever brew and release a beer once.
• Abstrakt will release a small amount of very limited edition batches per year.
• The beers will only be branded by their release number, eg AB:02.
• The abstrakt website is now live at www.abstrakt.com
• All beers will be packaged in half champagne bottles with a cork finish and minimalist labelling.
• All the Abstrakt beers will be bottle conditioned, making them very suitable for ageing and collecting.
• Batch AB:01 will be released on 16th April 2010. There will be 3200 numbered bottles of this vanilla bean infused quad.
Future releases will include a 19% Imperial Stout aged in a whisky cask with raspberries, a insanely hoppy 15% red ale, a strawberry and black pepper oak aged imperial ale.
Abstrakt will only be available online, at Systembolaget in Sweden, from Ales & Co in Italy, Hop & Spirit in Australia and in a select few specialist retailers.
We are having 2 events to mark the launch where you can taste the beer, meet James and also taste some of our higher ABV beers. There will be one event in Stockholm and one in London. Here are the details
Stockholm (amended date) – 17th April - Bishops Arms at Folkungagatan from 18:00
London – 22nd April – The White Horse on Parson’s Green. Time TBA
AB:01 – available at www.abstrakt.com on 16th April 2010. While stocks last.

- @Christer: one systembolag in stockholm, one in malmö and one in gothenburg. According to the swedish importer (casksweden.se) systembolaget has bought 480 bottles and it will be released on the 15th and cost 125SEK. Arno07.04.2010
