Beery pies with Pieminister

Beery pies with Pieminister

Cast your minds back a few months and you’ll recall with salivating glee that glorious moment when we teamed up with Honest Burger, incorporating our beer into every part of an awesome, beefy offering.

With our taste buds now ravished and ready for more we searched high and low for our next beer-infused taste sensation… Enter Pieminister! The UK’s legendary and craftiest pie maker. We have been working meticulously with these guys to come up with two deliciously beery pies made with brews that compliment the meaty ingredients, all encased in a perfectly flaky pie crust!

First up there’s the Chick 'n Hop, a Punk IPA, chicken and ham pie.  The hoppy hit of Punk works wonders with its two new meaty friends, adding a  slightly sweet flavour to the mellow chicken and ham.

Second, what pie lineup would be complete without a Steak and Ale pie?! Say hello to the MooDog. For this we opted for 5am Saint to add some much needed malty character alongside bag fulls of hoptastic tang.

At the BrewDog AGM in June we invited our shareholder to name one of these pies, and they did not disappoint! An anonymous master of pie-naming coined the “MooDog"; a mouth-watering British Beef, Smoked Bacon and 5AM Saint Pie.

So now we answer the burning question we can hear you mouthing at your various digital screens; ‘WHERE CAN I EAT THESE PIES AND WHEN?’ (Calm down)

From Monday the 14th July these pies will be ready and rocking from all UK BrewDog bars as well as Pieminister outlets (check ‘em out if you haven’t already, they’re pretty swell!)

We are all over this latest collab, and we hope you dig the pies as much as we do! Big love to Pieminister, who have done an amazing job of pairing up our beers with the perfect ingredients; Together we have fused together and made magic happen… in a beautiful, non-creepy way.

Let us know what you think of the pies! And, if you come across any other incredible grub you reckon could use a hoppy spank, drop us a line in the comments and we’ll check it out!
