The Hillhead Bookclub is no stable of monotomy , since it’s rejuvenation from an old cinema- bar Sam, Aaron and the crew have been providing Glaswegian west enders with awesome beer, ace food and retro videogames !

On October 18th we’re hi-jacking the dining room and holding court for a Dogs Dinner with a twist. Each course has been prepared with a combination of BrewDog beers to compliment the dishes.

Following a run through of our beers and what we do by Jonny from the Sales team, you’ll sit down to 3 courses each prepared with a combination of beers from our kick-ass range.

Here’s the menu to get your appetite going:

it started with....

devilled libertine baby back ribs, apple & walnut ‘slaw
chicken liver pate, tactical nuclear chutney, toast
hardcore ipa beef shin & bone marrow bon bon
tipsy mussels, zeitgeist & caramelised onions

the main event...

dogma braised beef short rib, dauphinois, glazed parsnips
roast pumpkin and squash chili, dead pony club & corn muffins {v}
confit duck leg, 5am saint red cabbage & apples, mash
jamaican jerk punk ipa pork chop, sweet peppers, sweet potato chips

the proverbial cherry...

libertine chocolate fudge cake
apple & bramble crumble, trashy blonde & vanilla sabayon
scottish cheeseboard, oaties & tactical nuclear chutney

The event kicks of at 7pm. Three courses and three beers for £20.

  • Any chance you could do one of these Dogs Dinners in Edinburgh or Dundee. Glasgow is just a bit of a stretch to get to, esp. on a school night!

  • Can you do this in the North West please? Sure there's plenty of accomodating restaurants in Liverpool/Manchester (I'm looking at you HOST with your beery/asian fusion pairing evenings...)
