BREWDOG NEEDS YOU, USA

BREWDOG NEEDS YOU, USA

Do you work as a Head Brewer in an American Craft Brewery? Fancy building on your career by leading one of the most innovative craft breweries in Europe? Well, BrewDog are hiring…

Everyone who works here at BrewDog possesses an affinity with brewers from the United States – in their beers, and in their attitudes to producing those beers. As a company, our earliest influences flowed from the other side of the Atlantic, so we owe a debt to those doing the mashing, hopping and barrel-ageing over the pond.

As we continue to grow we feel the time is right to reach out, and employ a Master Brewer who cut their teeth in the scene-shifting world of craft beer in the United States. If you think that is you, and you’d rise to the challenge of overseeing all elements of brewing at one of the leading craft breweries in Europe, then we’d love to hear from you!

With that in mind, we are hosting two very special craft brewer events in California next month, to introduce BrewDog to our American brewing friends. If you can be at UC Davis in Sacramento on February the 6th, or at the White Labs Tasting Room in San Diego on February the 11th, come along and find out more in person!

If you're based elsewhere in the States and are unable to attend, don't worry. Simply email your resume to [email protected] and in an attached cover letter, detail your relevant experience and tell us why you’d be a perfect candidate for this role.

We’d ask that you are a natural team leader with 5-10 years’ experience, who is willing and capable to train and inspire our production crew. Why? Well, you’d be overseeing, managing and developing all elements of brewery operations at BrewDog, and would have direct responsibility for beer quality, new beer development, and forging BrewDog’s path into the future, at the head of the European craft beer scene.

We know it’s a big ask to move from the States to sunny Scotland, so we’ll provide all help and assistance with visa applications, and provide an attractive full-time salary and relocation package. We’ll even throw in a bag of chips (our chips, not your chips, that is).

You can also email our [email protected] email address if you have any questions about the role, or would like to apply for any of the other vacancies we currently have.

To recap, if you're a craft brewer based in or near Sacramento or San Diego (and we hear there may be one or two), then you can find out more about BrewDog – and working for us in particular – by heading along to those very special February events.

We will be in the Fielder Room of the UC Davis Memorial Union on the 6th of February, where from 2-4pm our Head of People Zarah will be hosting an afternoon where you can find out about BrewDog and our craft brewing ethos in person.

She'll then take the scenic road-trip south to the White Labs Tasting Room at 9495 Candida Street, San Diego, where from 7pm on February the 11th she will be hosting another event for Southern California-based brewers. Check the links for more information, and RSVP to [email protected] if you’d like to come along!

Berkeley better bet than Ess Eff. Like Davis/Sac, thriving, dedicated student connections/craft fans. Safer, more supportive to newcomers. Or Inabootcomers as we say back hame in Doricland. Plus, bein a really selfish erse, I kinn get there on BART and back a lot faster. Great t see Hardcore in Safeways here. Ill be back in Aiberdeen next year t finally visit Brewdog Central. Meanwhile, keep on chaavin, yours, a loon fae the toon...

Surely that should be a poke of chips.

Interesting stuff. I wonder what British brewers could bring to Californian craft breweries, by way of return?

Hey Robes44 - We run an annual exchange program with Stone Brewing. They send one of their brewers to spend two weeks with us, and one of our brewers goes to San Diego to brew with them for two weeks. This is a bit different as were looking to hire brewers with US experience to come work for BrewDog in Scotland :)

Hopefully the government is more friendly to foreigners than when I applied

Didnt you used to swap brewers with Stone on a regular basis?
