BREWDOG NEWCASTLE GETS A MINI FACELIFT

BREWDOG NEWCASTLE GETS A MINI FACELIFT

Since launching in 2012, our bar in Newcastle has been rocking the craft beer scene in the city. Unassuming from the outside, but bold as brass inside, it's always had a really arty quirkiness about it that gave it its own character and personality.

Having been open two years and fraying a little at the edges (which, we must admit, very much added to its appeal!) we decided to give it a bit of attention and bring it bang up to date! The beer scene in Newcastle has really boomed in the last 12 months especially, so bringing this bar up to date ensures we're right up there with the best of 'em in the city.

Locals will know the bar always rocked a reasonably impressive 12 taps of craft beery goodness, but we've stepped that right up to a face-melting 33 (!!!) including a brand new hop canon, so you can get freshly infused brews every day. The new taps will also mean the bar can offer a wider range of local brewers' beers, so expect to see some super special neighbouring breweries' wares too.

The draft boards displaying all these hoppy delights have also been replaced with the new-style cinema boards to keep it fresh.

Upstairs used to be a little mezzanine floor with seating, but the low ceiling and lack of proper bar didn't really lend themselves all that well to such uses, so we've converted it into a homebrew area complete with its own permanent kit! It's currently being calibrated and once it's up and running the team in Newcastle will be rocking a regular homebrew night.

Kitchen-wise, we will be working on a brand new fit out in the not too distant future, so we'll be able to offer some scrummy grub to pair with your brews. Stay tuned for more on that soon! The ladies and gents loos have also been totally refurbed, and we're now rocking the new branding on the external signage too.

Stop by some time and check it out, and let us know what you think of the new-look BrewDog Newcastle!

Hey !Nottingham Brewdog is older than Newcastle. Please can we have a bit of TLC. The (male) toilets could do with a full re-vamp, including the sink, which has had a massive crack in it for months.Just sayin ........

What was the motivation to do away with the beer cocktails on a weekend? They seemed incredibly popular. Really like all the other changes, toilets are way better and the hop cannon is amazing
