Meet the BrewDog Nottingham Team

Max Chater

max_540

Hello! How are you!? I’m Max, I run the Nottingham Bar. I’ve been with Brewdog for a couple of months but I feel I’ve been with them from the start. I used to sell Brewdog in the bars I ran in London. I love everything about us and what we do, I’ve met people in this company who will be friends for life. The passion in our bars and brewery is incredible, it isn’t a job it’s a way of life. I’m the boy with the quiff, who’s dancing behind the bar. In my spare time I like to paint dogs to look like cows and train badgers to sing in a choir (outfits and all) over active imagination and keen taste for IBU’s  (tattoo coming).

Andy

I’m Andy, I’m Max’s right hand man at Nottingham #nohomo. I was lucky enough to work in a bar in New York where I developed a huge passion for craft beer, which of course led me to Brewdog. I’m proud to be at the forefront of the craft beer revolution in Britain, it’s only the beginning of things to come. Many people have commented saying Brewdog are just a huge marketing & PR machine, those people don’t really understand what we are about; sharing amazing craft beer with like-minded people. Also don’t judge me for wearing an Alice band. My favourite Pokemon has to be Charizard, obvs. I have issues.

Freya Turner

freya_540

Hi, I’m Freya and for the first few weeks of working for Brewdog I haven’t been home (by choice). So far it’s been amazing and I’m so happy that I’ve had chance to be a part of it. The people I’ve met are some of the best personalities I’ve known and this is the first company I’ve worked for where everyone loves their job! I’m the girl behind the bar with a quiff, usually dancing or on the other side drinking tasty beer. My guilty pleasures are 80’s hair metal and ironing. I don’t like Turkish delight, it tastes of soap.

Máire Condron

I’m Máire- Half designer/maker and half Brewdog bar staff. I fell in love with Brewdog last year in Edinburgh and couldn’t believe my luck when I found out we would have our very own craft beer oasis here in Nottingham. I jumped at the chance to get involved and have loved every minute. It’s way more than just a bar job and with the mindless attitude towards drinking (especially beer) these days, it’s refreshing to be a part of the craft beer revolution and an honour to have the opportunity to share with people some of the finer things in life. It is safe to say that since the arrival of Brewdog, Nottingham is a little more than 100% better!

Emily Park

Hi! My name is Emily and in the first few weeks I have been working for Brewdog i find myself looking forward to going to work rather than dreading it which is pretty awesome! I don't think I have ever worked for a company where everyone loves their job! I really can't see myself working in a normal bar/pub again! During my free time I like to dance around my room to pop punk/metal music. I'm pretty obsessed with tattoos, if I'm not getting tattooed I'm talking to people about their tattoos! I really dislike spicy food with a passion, it's gross! I know this is really silly but I'm extremely scared of vampires (even though there not real). I can't even watch The Count in Sesame Street, not even as a kid! Sad times. :(

Dan

Hi, I'm Dan. I have worked in enough pubs and bars to know that a lot of people don't care at all what they drink. I am not one of these people... So it's great to find a brewery that feel so passionately about their beer. I first heard about Brewdog a few years ago and it was love at first taste. It's awesome to get to work in one of their bars. As the last member of the team to join, I get bullied by everyone else but I don't care because it's worth it. I'm relatively tall and I wear glasses. I also like Punk Rock, books and a good sitcom. I just ate an omelette.

Leon

leon_540

Hi, my names Leon and I’ve never used dating sites before, but I’m sick of trying all the regular avenues, so I’m here to give it a shot! Im 6'2", athletic, have muscular calves, and like playing basketball. In my spare time, when im not schooling fools on the basketball court, I like to listen to hip-hop and blend things in my blender because I think eating solid foods is for the naive. Other liquids I enjoy, are fine craft beers, like the ones served at Brewdog where I work, so if you share similar interests and a distaste for chewing, pop down and say hello and let’s see if our star signs align xxx

This is one of my regular haunts now, and I'm slowly learning all your names. Keep selling your fantastic beers.P.S. Max - I'm sorry I kept calling you Leon the other w/e. I blame the Paradox Jura (15%), or was it the Tokyo (18.2%)

Enjoyed meeting the staff a few weeks back, especially the gentlemen who had worked at the Old Toad and lived near the Tap & Mallet in Rochester, NY. Have you folks received any bottles of Abstrakt AB:09?
