Fu*k the system. Forget what you know. What has been. Bow to no one. History is bereft. Reorder. Disorder. Embrace the unknown. The groundbreaking. The challenging. The revolution is upon us.

Say hello to Ghost Deer. A defiant and irreverent, devil may care, supersonic beer. Ghost Deer is a 28% fermented beer, the strongest ever fermented beer which, up until now has only ever been served from a single handcrafted deer’s head.

In the last couple of years we have brought beer aficionados Sink the Bismarck! At 41% and the epic End of History at 55%. These alcohol contents were achieved by the extreme freezing of an already very strong beer. Ghost Deer achieves 28% ABV simply from the  fermentation process. We used a variety of yeast strains during the elephantine process and drip fed the fermented masterpiece exotic sugars to ensure the yeast lived long enough to continue the fermentation.

The beer itself is a robust 28% blonde ale. After fermentation it has been  aged for 18 months in some amazing whisky, bourbon, rum and sherry barrels. We started with 2 barrels of this beer: The first cask was released in 2011 and only dispensed from the deer's head, the 2nd cask we have matured for an extra 12 months and released a very limited run of 6cl bottles.

This beer is an audacious blend of eccentricity, artistry and rebellion; changing the general perception of beer one little bottle at a time.

If you are lucky enough to meet Ghost Deer and sample this revolutionary brew. Be careful. This  schizophrenic delusional screw up of a drink is best enjoyed with vigilance and a dose of vagrant optimism.

Any plans to bring sink the Bismark and tactical nuclear penguin will come to 60ml doses?

  • I think the beer is veryreasonably priced and I'm glad it comes in 60ml tasters rather than forking out shit loads for 330ml, well played on that front.

Will bottles be hitting the bars?

  • Great Value when compared to Utopias.

awesome looking bottle & box too

  • Part of me thinks that a 6cl bottle in a box is just a gimmick/bit of marketing. But another part thinks that splitting a limited run beer like this enables more bottles to be available so more people can try it, which is always a good thing. Sod it, I'm having some.
