Meet Mikkel….in Camden
Beer Geek Brunch Weasel, a beer brewed using coffee excreted from a Vietnamese weasel, yeah that was him.
19, an IPA brewed using 19 different varieties of hop, yep that was him too.
1000 IBU Light, a 4.9% Pale Ale with all the bitterness of the hoppiest of Imperial IPAs, also him….
On Saturday 18th of February BrewDog Camden is lucky enough to be joined by the maverick brewer that is Mikkel Borg Bjergsø, the man behind the world renowned brewery, Mikkeller. This is a brewery that has been pushing the boundaries of beer and playing with people’s perceptions since its inception in 2006. Now is your chance to meet the man and drink the beer.
Kicking off at 2pm in BrewDog Camden we will be showcasing the best that this modern marvel of a brewery has to offer with more than 12 draft beers on offer through the day, plus we will be launching our new selection of Mikkeller bottles.
Have you ever been to a Meet The Brewer event and thought there was just something missing, some kind of interaction, some kind of involvement, or maybe, some kind of Collaboration? We are going to blow the concept of collaborative brews wide open and you are going to be the ones holding the detonator.
Collaborative efforts are one of the things that helps drive the craft beer revolution, BrewDog and Mikkeller have always been at the forefront of this with stunning brews such as I Hardcore You, Devine Rebel and the mammoth Black Tokyo* Horizon. It is with this in mind that we want to invite you to join us in the next rock and roll collaboration between BrewDog and Mikkeller
On Saturday 18th February you lucky scamps are going to be the ones who help us decide what the next step in BrewDog’s and Mikkeller’s collaborative journey will be. So if you always wished you could be involved in the creation of something special, well, this is certainly not a day you want to miss!
Saturday 18th February from 2pm
See you in the bar
- Holy smokes. That's fantastic. How about making a traditional German Kolsch? In many ways the 'easiest' beer for the world to drink. But in the hands of BrewDog and Mikkeller I am sure there could be some hidden magic.
By the way, the folks from Mikkeller were here in Dallas last November for Dallas Beer Week. At a beer dinner event I had the 'I Hardcore You' T Shirt and it was signed by them and everybody else at the event. I'll send you a picture. Fantasic.
P.S. Maybe BrewDog could attend the next Dallas/Houston Beer Week in November....
