Owl it up - Hitachino Nest launch night!

Owls are awesome. But you know what makes Owls even better? When they are printed on to the bottles of 12 different amazing craft beers. That's right Hitachino Nest is invading our BrewDog bars and it is coming in force.

To showcase these fantastic beers (and the owls) we will be having a launch night across our bars on Thursday 16th February. We will have 5 Hitachino Nest Beers on draft and 12 different beers in bottle. If you ever wondered what some of the best beer coming out of Japan tastes like then this could well be your best chance!

Our BrewDog bars are committed to sourcing and showcasing the best beers from across the planet, bringing these Hitachino Nest beers in is certainly part of that grand plan. Hitachino Nest is brewed at the Kiuchi Brewery. Kiuchi has been producing Sake since 1823 and has been at the forefront of the Craft Beer revolution in Japan since Hitachino Nest first went in to production in 1996. Want to know more about Hitachino Nest before the big day? Check out their website www.hitachinonest.com it has forest animals and a talking Owl.

  • To be fair, I'd be pretty gutted too if I didn't live near a brewdog bar. Brewdog Edinburgh is the best, I love it. Nay joy to all the saps who live too far away :p

The sooner every city in the uk has a brewdog bar the better.

I am going to miss hitachino night though unfortunately. Hopefully there'll still be some dregs for me on Sunday at the brew party.

  • hold tight guys, we are currently revamping the guest beer offering in the shop - it will be getting a LOT LOT better! Providing it doesn't fly to fast in the bars we should have some of these available for mail order. These beers will also make an appearance at nottingham sometime soon!

  • Amazing! I've never managed to track down Hitachino Nest beers in Europe before, can't wait for thursday. Top marks to BrewDog for getting these into the UK.

  • Cheers Peterg thats great news.... unfortunatly i live in kinlochbervie 215 miles from aberdeen, brewdog have no plans to open a bar any nearer anytime soon if ever. just though maybe they could save a few bottles for there online customers.

  • Damned if you do damned if you don't. Considering how far these beers have had to travel, and then time spent clearing customs, they probably need to be served as soon as possible so the event is arranged and announced at short notice. It really is just too bad that not every one who wants to go can. I live in Aberdeen, but shiftwork means I can't always attend every event. You just have to get over it. The beers never all sell out on the night anyway, so there is usually one of the kegs on guest for a week or so afterwards, and bottles available for quite a bit longer too.

  • Can't understand all these complaints from people who don't live near a Brewdog bar. They are opening at a great rate of knots, and soon will have most parts of the country covered.

  • Great to see this finally happening.
But im not sure how you are 'launching' a brewery that has been brewing since 1996. Surely you are just showcasing them.

  • Online shop looks a bit dismal at the moment, almost half the stock OUT OF STOCK . All the effort seems to be pushing the bars, which is a pity.....unless you live near a city with a brewdog bar ofcourse
    GBH15.02.2012
  • Please get these onto the online shop!

  • Shame it's on Thursday 16th Feb - just over a week before the Brewdog Nottingham opens.
I've just priced up an open return by train from Nottingham to Aberdeen - only £150. I agree wi the previous comment - the more notice we get out in the sticks, the cheaper we can get travel tickets and the more money we'll have to spend at your events.
Keep on Hootin' in the real world ....
    Pete.

    Go BrewDog!

  • Can't wait!

Craft Beers from my favourite place in the world!

    Becca15.02.2012
  • Awesome. Can't wait. I love these beers!

Can I dress as an owl too?

    Adrian15.02.2012
  • I really don't like the way you guys have a lack of real planning so that people like me who live miles away don't get to do these things. I'll admit, yes, I probably could actually do it but the train fare at such short notice costs around £50 and that's before topping my oyster card up THEN I have to buy beer. Just letting us know two weeks in advance would be great as I'd save a shit load of money.

[Disclaimer - I'm not ungrateful, I appreciate what y'all are doing in bringing rare world class craft beers to this country and it's awesome.]

  • What about all the people that live over 100 miles from your nearest bar. How will they get to sample these delights
