A key cornerstone of the BrewDog philosophy is trying to shorten the distance as much as possible between ourselves and you – the people who drink our beers. We love you guys (individually and collectively) and we want to involve you as much as we can in all aspects of our business. Hell if it was not for you guys, we would not even have a brewery at all.

So, we felt it was only right to get your feedback as we put together our plans for what we are going to brew next year. Since you are going to help us drink it, it is only fair that you help us decide what we brew.

Help decide BrewDog's Beer Range PART II

Following on from our 2 recent blogs on our core range beers, we are going to be slightly tweaking our core range of our 5 year round beers in 2012.

We are also intending adding a new beer to our core range in 2012 and we want you to help us decide what this new beer is going to be. We have brewed 4 prototypes and we want you to either buy them online or try them on draft in our bars and vote (above) for which one you would want to see in 2012 on a permanent basis

The 4 prototypes are:

Blitz! - A 2.8% caramalt only west coast hop bomb.

Scotch Ale - a 7.5% indulgant malty treat combining heather honey and 8 different malts.

Prototype 17 - a 4.1% pale ale with american hops, belgian yeast strain aged with fresh Scottish raspberries.

Hops Kill Nazis - a 7.6% red ale loaded with chinook hops.

Scotch Ale gets my vote, Prototype 17 is a close 2nd though!

Congrats on the rapid delivery - ordered on Tuesday night and was able to try these out over the weekend. In order of preference:1) Scotch Ale - very tasty - is it too niche (flavour) or strong for the core 5? Guess this depends on what the other 4 are... 2) Blitz - held it's own well, especially given the strength. Would like to see this in the core 5 on the grounds of variety and having a lower alcohol Brewdog beer available year-round.3) Hops Kill Nazis - nice, but wasn't a winner for me4) Prototype 17 - bit disapppointing, having had the much more raspberry-flavoured one in September.Made for a great weekend - especially with a few bottles of There Is No Santa thrown in for good measure!

The 2.8 ABV would be perfect for the swedish market! With that low ABV it could be sold in regular super markets. Go for it!

Seriously what have you done to Prototype 17. The original version was great, full of raspberries. This doesn't have any. Disappointed. Blitz! is ok but I wouldn't drink anything that low ABV. Still got the other two to drink. Hopefully Hops Kill won't have changed.

Ordered on the 30th (see below) and they arrived today (2nd Dec), how good is that? And why does Hops Kill Nazis have a red bottle top and the others have blue ones? Conspiracy theories start here.P.S. More Ingrid, please, drank a bottle last night and it's fabulous. More!

It was a close call but my vote goes to Hops Kill Nazis, however the Scotch Ale is a close second because it reminds me of Founders Dirty Bastard which is another scotch ale by another of my favourite breweries. If Scotch Ale doesn't make it into the core range I would like to see it in made in the future, maybe as a one off brew.

Also ordered and excited about receiving, although order made on 19/11 is still 'processing' on my order history so fingers crossed it all arrives in time for xmas. Look forward to Camden and having a reason to show my EFP card.

Ordered various beers from here on 21st Nov, first time since UK Mail took over delivery, and they arrived on the 25th, so no complaints there. Well packaged, too.Hopefully the Prototypes and other goodies ordered yesterday will turn up just as quickly. Good call to switch to UK Mail, Brewdoggers. Cheers!
