BrewDog Edinburgh came into being at the start of 2011, and has since become a glimmering craft beer oasis in the heart of the city's historic Old Town.
Reclaiming and revitalising what once was a lager-soaked karaoke den, the bar transcended its previous guise via the medium of reclaimed furniture, exposed brickwork and plenty of stainless steel.
Although perfectly at home alongside the smattering of grimy rock bars in the Cowgate, BrewDog Edinburgh still manages to set itself apart as a craft beer alternative in a mainstream jungle. And it also majors in the best damn homemade pizzas in Auld Reekie.
