BORN TO DIE AND DOG E

BORN TO DIE AND DOG E

Only 1 day left to invest in BrewDog… www.brewdog.com/equityforpunks

So, get up to anything at the weekend? As you may have heard, we had quite the party on Saturday, with thousands of craft beer fans packing into the AECC for our sixth annual #PunkAGM. Stand by for a full rundown of what transpired on the blog tomorrow – but one thing we can reveal now is that our assembled Equity Punks enjoyed some brand new beer fresh off the lines of our Ellon HQ.

And you can now get hold of two of those in our online shop.

Born to Die 14.05.2016

You can buy Born to Die 14.05.2016 here

The first is the long-awaited return of our time-sensitive Imperial India Pale Ale. Our shareholders got to this short-lived legend before anyone else – and you can now also hit the timer and get to grips with our 8.5% Simcoe, Amarillo, Citra and Mosaic hopped Imperial IPA. Born to Die is whirlpool and dry-hopped at even greater levels than many of our other beers – with one single intention. To relay those fresh citrus and pine flavours to you as fast as possible.

From the moment it leaves our bottling and kegging line, Born to Die is on the clock. The best before date for this beer? Not hiding away round the back, under a barcode or somewhere obscure on the bottle. 14.05.2016 is worn as a badge of honour. The ephemeral nature of the beer is defined by this date, giving you the definitive opportunity to taste the influence of time on IPA. Through this limited window we are passing on the chance to drink Born to Die whilst the hops are at their flavourful and aromatic peak.

Dog E

Also live on our online shop is the return of our birthday beer, marking nine years of BrewDog. Dog E is our liquid touchstone – the annual benchmark in our brewing history. An imperial stout, we have followed the forerunners Dogs A-C with the mix of cacao, coffee and naga chillies – and as with last year’s Dog D we have again aged the beer in bourbon barrels, to put an entirely complementary layer of flavour on top of the already compelling payload.

As a result, the spicy hops - backed by the chilli heat – are rounded by that extra tier of dark molasses and almost brandy-like vanilla and oak from the wood. With espresso and dark chocolate bitterness in the flavours as well, Dog E might just be the most warming and redolent beer we have ever made. It is another milestone for BrewDog, celebrated in the only way we know how – by brewing and ageing beer in the very best way possible.

Both beers are live in our online shop right now, with Born to Die already on the clock in our BrewDog bars (with Dog E following on draft next week). As with every single one of our new releases, both of these beers were available exclusively to our investors before anyone else had the chance to try them. And if you sampled them at our AGM, let us know your thoughts below!

Born to Die should be on tap in the bars always. It is a truly awesome beer, plus, Hardcore IPA (my current favourite) never seems to be on tap when I visit the bars.
