BREWDOG CARLISLE IS HERE

BREWDOG CARLISLE IS HERE

One of our most important missions at BrewDog is to bring down barriers when it comes to craft beer and to make it as accessible as we possibly can. This week, that mission continues in a city famed for being a gateway (whether open or closed) to our home country for generations. Our newest UK BrewDog Bar is set to bring down barriers in the Border City.

BrewDog Carlisle opens its doors at 12pm on Friday 25th January.

Just ten miles from Scotland, we have an amazing location ready to go at 36-38 Botchergate, Carlisle, CA1 1QS. Located just near the junction with Portland Place the bar is in a cool Gothic-style building two doors down from the Vue cinema – so perfect for a pre- or post-movie beer! BrewDog Carlisle is a five minute walk south from the main shopping areas of the city too, and sits a similar distance from the Fusehill Street campus of the University of Cumbria.

Plus, in a city renowned for being a major waypoint on the West Coast mainline, we are only three minutes’ walk from Carlisle station. Around an hour and a half by train from Newcastle, Glasgow or Manchester (for those of you after another stamp in your Intergalactic BrewDog Bar Visa) that first pint of Punk won’t take long to order up once your rail journey ends. Just head out of the station, turn right at the crossroads and we are right there.

Our newest UK Bar has 22 taps of super-fresh craft beer from both BrewDog and guest breweries from around the world, including a LIVE Beer tap pouring real ale for modernists. There is also a deli-style fridge for takeaway beer (which can also be enjoyed there and then for a fee). For those after an alternative to beer, BrewDog Carlisle will also have a range of spirits and wines as well as coffee roasted in our new roastery at our Ellon brewery!

For those looking to stay awhile the bar will be serving up a full range from our now legendary BrewDog pizza menu – including full vegetarian and vegan options. Each is perfectly put together to pair with one of our craft beers; just ask any member of our Cicerone-trained bar crew for their suggestion! That of course also applies to choosing a beer in the first place – our bar crews pride themselves on answering your questions on what beer is and helping you pick a new favourite.

BrewDog Carlisle opens for the first time at 12pm on Friday 25th January and from then on will be open 12pm-1am Sunday to Thursday and 12pm-2am Friday and Saturday. You can follow the bar on TwitterInstagram and Facebook and the first 100 people through the doors on Friday 25th after midday will have the chance to win a years’ free beer as well as other prizes!

Came down on the train from East Kilbride yesterday to visit family and discovered this place on my way, well needless to say I stayed in here all day sampling a pint from every pump before taking the last train back. Lest we forget.

Never mind Manchester. Damp place.
Carlisle is 110 miles from Leeds on the famous Leeds Settle Carlisle railway. Super views on the way down to Carlisle, a few BD beers and an even better view on the journey back to God's own county, 40 miles south at Ais Gill.
So there.
