BREWDOG EDINBURGH AIRPORT HAS LANDED

BREWDOG EDINBURGH AIRPORT HAS LANDED

Airports used to be places where every sixty seconds you spent there made you wish you were somewhere else. But no longer. Modern airports have everything to keep you going before your flight does - but this can always be taken to another level. After all, they are gateways to the world. So let’s make them a gateway to a world of amazing craft beer, too.

BrewDog Edinburgh Airport opens today, Thursday 22nd November.

Our third bar for the Scottish capital sits just to the west of the city centre, and is a complete first for us in every respect. Your new terminal go-to is located towards the east end of the new airside development – head through security and hang a right, then wend your way past the previous options to (y)our new home. If you’re flying from Gate 13-16, you just hit the jackpot.

The great thing about Scotland’s busiest airport is that it’s still manageable enough to navigate, so even if you’re flying from a low gate number we are waiting to give you the perfect send-off before you take off. With 14 craft beers on tap and a wide range of canned and bottled beer to enjoy, BrewDog Edinburgh Airport exists to do just that.

Modern air travel is a bodyclock-busting business at the best of times, so if you’re jetting off early doors or late at night then don’t worry. Our airport bar will open at 4am every day and will close after the last flight departs each night to ensure that anyone wanting a great beer before they travel can get one. We’ll also be rocking coffee for those about to do battle with the red-eye!

If your immediate future looks like one involving small packets of peanuts or tiny sandwich triangles then we’ve got your back in that respect too. We will keep you going by serving up a range of food from a specially developed breakfast menu, and a lunch menu featuring loaded hot sandwiches, salads and all-day breakfast. We also have options from those menus to take with you as you fly.

The idea of opening one of our bars inside an airport has been a long time in coming – the genesis was our visits to regional US airports that have small-scale brewery taps from regional breweries. This is such an amazing idea to introduce people from out of town to a truly local flavour – and also give those familiar a chance to have one last beer before they leave. Edinburgh will not be the last airport to gain a ‘BrewDog…’ prefix.

BrewDog Edinburgh Airport is open now, and will be open every day of the week from 4am until the final flight of the day has closed. The bar is airside which means you’ll have to be going somewhere to visit, but if you’re flying out of Edinburgh there is no better alternative. To celebrate, every visit made between now and the New Year will be given a raffle ticket – on the 1st of January one person will be picked to receive free beer for a year!

Edinburgh – happy travels!
