BrewDog Shoreditch

BrewDog Shoreditch

We are delighted to have secured our 2nd London venue and we look forward to opening BrewDog Shoreditch in October.

BrewDog Shoreditch will be located at 51-55 Bethnal Green Road, at the intersection between Brick Lane and Redchurch Street in the heart of East London.

BrewDog will be picking up the baton from the previous occupier of the premises and craft beer advocates, Mason & Taylor. All of the staff are being retained by BrewDog and we will seek to build on the excellent work done in promoting craft beer by the Mason & Taylor management and team.

We have supplied Mason & Taylor since it opened and love the staff, the atmosphere and the building itself. We are really excited to have worked with the team there to put this deal together and look forward to continuing to build our relationship with them in the future.

Owner Ed Mason says: 'We've worked with BrewDog since we opened 2 years ago and have always admired their innovative approach to craft beer. We are delighted that the venue will be in safe hands, continuing to serve our regulars with great beer and a friendly welcome.'

We will officially take over the unit on the 24th of September and will be closed for a few weeks for renovations and we will look to open in mid-late October. Beer drinkers in East London can look forward to a library of beery masterpieces from all over the world, regular beer tastings glasses, craft beer cocktails, board games, vintage pinball machines, a full range of our beers on draft and some of the trademark BrewDog anarchy thrown in for good measure.

BrewDog Shoreditch will be open in late October. Oh and there is going to be something very special in the basement. It is a surprise.

One thing puzzles me - if craft beer bar Mason & Taylor couldn't make a go of it here, how can BrewDog? Is the location right? I liked the 3 and 6 small taster glasses idea on their website though - maybe BrewDog could offer this. Basement sounds intriguing - pilot brewery please!

Looks good, but I hope it's not as noisey as Camden, where you can't hear yourselve think let laone talk. Need some acoustics in these bars to absorb chatter!!

Very good news. So easy to get to for those in the east as opposed to getting to camden.

Mason and Taylor was an excellent bar. Therefore open in the afternoons, retain the food offer-not just pizzas and burgers, extend the range of keg beers and keep a couple of quality casks to show that this is a positive takeover of an independent bar. Have a microbrewery in the basement as the surprise?

Mason & Taylor is a great Bar, sorry to see it go but this more than makes up for it.

What's gonna be in the basement? I hope it's gonna be a gig venue!

If you add a) crisps, b) chips, and dare I say it c) burgers to the menu that would be great. Don't mess with the beer selection, just add some stodge to go with the foofoo food selection.

Wanna be careful bringin' anarchy so close to City. We did it last year and they'll never forgive, nor forgot us - I count that as a win ;)

If you manage to open at lunchtime/in the afternoons, which the previous miserable crowd failed to do, that would be one improvement, at least.
