Manchester. Bristol. Birmingham. Three centres of the Industrial Revolution where more and more people are turning their backs on industrial beer. The Punk State is helping reclaim these cities and spread the word about choice, quality and flavour. But we have one more urban centre to takeover. A final roadblock to buck the system.

Liverpool – your hour is nigh. We are coming to Williamson Square Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th August.

From 1pm on each day you can join us as we bring Punk IPA to the people. We will be taking to Williamson Square to proclaim an alternative exists to the norm; craft beer can become the new normal. Cross the border into our state within a state and enjoy a super-fresh free Punk IPA on us. The battle against mediocre beer starts (and ends) in these streets.

Over that same weekend if you are marooned somewhere in Liverpool without access to craft beer and need our help, deploy the #PunkState hashtag by contacting @BrewDog on Twitter. We will be scanning the airwaves for those with the greatest need, and if that is you, will then be on our way within moments to deliver a four-pack of our flagship IPA to wherever you are.

Our continuing battle against the boring, the bland and the mass-produced needs all hands in order to succeed, and banish those who brew with an eye on costings spreadsheets instead of flavour. Punk State is a city-centre roadbloack where beer such as this is banished but everyone is welcome. We hope that your first taste of a new freedom – Punk IPA – is the spark that leads to a lifetime of better beer.

That is the reason why Punk State exists. Once the weekend has passed and our barricades in Liverpool have been taken down, the battle is far from won. But maybe we will have lit a few fires along the way. Power to the people.
