THE BREWDOG NETWORK: ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A DRUNK PERSON?

Our online compendium of beer, food and travel television The BrewDog Network contains over 100 hours of curated content, all available online wherever you are. Alongside the return of The BrewDog Show (currently filming new episodes) we have drafted in other likeminded souls to hit the airwaves – and in the case of this particular show, giant red buzzers.

Yes, we have proudly teamed up with comedian Alison Becker from Parks & Recreation to create a gameshow unlike any other – Are You Smarter Than a Drunk Person?

You can start your free trial to watch The BrewDog Network today!

In the show, Alison seeks an answer to the eternal question – what happens to smart people when they hit the booze? Do they get smarter, or not? As host, she delivers a series of pub quiz-style questions to a pair of contestants facing-off against each other from across a bar. One – a regular trivia competitor. The other – a MENSA-level genius who has had one too many drinks.

It sounds like the outcome would be obvious, right?

The brain has a way of playing tricks in ways that are unexpected, however, to say the least. If you’ve ever played pool after a couple of drinks and found that sweet spot, you’ll know exactly what our brainboxes went through in this scientific study* of what having a few can do for the ol’ grey matter. Although they then went past that point, just to see what would happen.

*As a gameshow, maybe it’s not that scientific.

Available anywhere in the world, The BrewDog Network is a pioneering a new model of beer-led subscription video on demand. You can access the network via the web and a soon to be launched standalone app on iOS and Android. Subscriptions cost $4.99 a month (or local currency equivalent) and you gain instant access to over 100 hours of beer, food and travel content.

Including further study into that age-old question. Does drinking make you smarter?
