TOP OF THE TWEETS
They say that nothing ever disappears on the internet – but that’s fine with us. At BrewDog we are totally fixed on the horizon, but occasionally we do take a glance in the rear view mirror. 2017 was quite the twelve months and as Twitter doubled-up everyone had more space to play with. Here is a look back at some of the highlights on Planet BrewDog, via the medium of Twitter!
10 – Decade of Dog
Last year was a milestone for everyone here at BrewDog, as is marked ten years since Martin, James and Bracken started out in this run-down shed in Fraserburgh. Sometimes looking back reminds you how far things have come.
This derelict shed in Fraserburgh was BrewDog's home until 2013. Can't believe it is almost 10 years since we started! pic.twitter.com/NvEehIog2b— James Watt (@BrewDogJames) March 30, 2017
9 - Puppy Pawternity
Back in February we launched an epic staff perk for the many crewmembers who have (or are thinking of welcoming) a four-legged friend into their family. Puppy Parental Leave gives any BrewDog staff member a week off to settle in a new pup or rescue dog. Paws for thought!
8 - Listen up Trump!
In November we harnessed the power of the Artic (and deputised a polar bear) to highlight the issue of Climate Change and the US President’s move to withdraw from the Paris Accord on Global Warming. Make Earth Great Again.
7 - Late Checkout?
Imagine the perfect hotel. And then imagine it with Punk IPA on tap in every room, curated minibar of global beer, wake-up views of fermenting foeders and this addition to the bathroom that means you’ll never want to leave the shower. Although you will have to check out (eventually).
6 - Equity for Punks V
If you had to distil Equity for Punks into a single snapshot, it exists to put the people who care about beer in control. We launched the fifth round of our new business model in October, and there is still time to join us as we change the world of craft beer forever.
5 - Inside the Overworks
Only a couple of weeks ago Captain James gave everyone a sneak peek into one of the most exciting things we have planned for 2018 – the BrewDog Overworks. With barrels and foudres already full, this is the closest you’ll get to amazing mixed culture beer (for now, at least)…

4 - Taking to the Stage
Our AGMs are the highlights of our year and our friends Twin Atlantic rocked the stage at both our US AGM in Columbus and our eighth-annual #PunkAGM back in April. Equity Punks - if you want to join 7000 likeminded craft beer fans this April, tickets for #PunkAGM2018 are live now!
3 - And the Winner Is...
Our Columbus brewery rocked up a storm in 2017 and all of the hard work paid off in October when we won a medal for Ohio-brewed Elvis Juice at the Great American Beer Festival. As James said – Go BrewDog Columbus!

2 - No Shirt, No Service
We'll just leave this one here...

1 - The Unicorn has Landed
The biggest thing we did in 2017, however, was the change the way in which we do business. A commitment made in August that was not about profits, but purpose. In order to create a blueprint for a 21st Century business we announced our plan to give away 20% of our profits, every single year, with 10% shared between our awesome crew and 10% to charities chosen by them and our Equity Punks. Introducing the BrewDog Unicorn Fund.
We had a fantastic time documenting 2017 and interacting with everyone on social media – thanks to each and every one of you for continuing to drink our beer, visit our bars and get in touch with our team! If there's anything you think we should tweet about this year - let us know in the comments below!
