Amazing news rang around the office last week, when one of our diehard Equity Punks won an all-expenses paid brew day and beer dinner for hitting 40 referrals! Steven R will be brewing a beer with James and Martin up at Brew HQ in Ellon, and then whisked off for an awesome beer dinner at Musa. Pretty neat, huh? (Remember, you could win this and a whole host of other awesome prizes too by referring your friends to Equity for Punks IV!)

On top of this, Steven is also one of the first winners of a bottle of our coveted new beer, Death or Glory. James and Martin have called it “possibly the best beer we’ve ever made,” and folks across the world are clamouring to get their paws on it. However, there’s only one way to do so, and that’s Equity for Punks IV referrals.

To give you guys a helping hand, we got in touch with the winners to date and asked them for some top tips for prospective champions to reach their goal. Take note, and you could be next!

Mikey R - Lego

A local lad from near Fraserburgh, Mikey took a very creative approach to sharing his referral code with fellow beer lovers. As an avid fan of awesome beer imagery, he used a combo of Lego and beer to promote his referral code to his friends! A favourite snap in the BrewDog office being a kilted Lego figure looking delighted, with Mikey’s bottle of Death or Glory in the background completing the shot! Mikey has also revealed to us that he’s saving his beer for the next time his beloved Aberdeen FC win a trophy.

Jack P – Victory at sea!

The good word of the Craft Beer Revolution is even spreading across the waves of the North Sea. Jack, an engineer out on the rigs, managed to sign up a colleague out in cold of the brine! If he can get another 199, we’ll endeavour to open the first off-shore BrewDog bar! SeaDog anyone?

Apart from Death or Glory, Jack’s main aim in the referral programme is grabbing the hinterland, which only requires 5 referrals, so he’s well on his way!

Adam S - Good old fashioned persistence

Sometimes, the old ways are the best. Adam went down the tried and tested route and shared the hell out of his referral code with his family and friends to work his way to his bottle of the illustrious Death or Glory. He did, however, have one bargaining chip up his sleeve; an invite to the soon-to-be legendary BrewDog AGM to tantalise his friends into using his referral code. A Dickies workshirt is definitely high on his Equity for Punks IV Referral scheme wishlist!

Charles K- Boots on the ground

Back to another local lad from the North East. Charles also went old-school and hopped desk to desk around his office in Aberdeen to convert people to the craft beer cause! He’s saving his Death or Glory for the birth of his second child in November and will have the beer ready to toast the new arrival! Congrats, Charles!

Mike W - Down to business

Finally, our top tips bring us to London Town where Mike got the world to see his referral code in an awesome blend of classic and new wave tekkers. After converting his colleagues through the power of Punk IPA, Mike went the whole hog and had his referral code printed onto business cards, before firing them from a cannon over London to a baying crowd of potential converts. Okay, the last bit might not be strictly true, but his nifty-looking cards are one of the more alternative ways we’ve seen those referral codes bandied about so far! Nice one, Mike.

So there you have it folks, five ways some of our top referrers managed to win themselves a bottle of Death or Glory! We hope this wisdom has served you well and we wish you luck on your quest!
