Mikkeller Yeast Series 2.0

Hitting BrewDog Bars Saturday 16th of March

Mikkeller Yeast Series 2.0

BrewDog have always loved doing cool beery things with our freinds at Mikkeller. Whether it be collaborating on amazing brews such as Devine Rebel and I Hardcore You, or arranging jumping Meet The Brewer events. We both love experimenting, we both love big flavour and we both love spreading the craft beer gospel. With these things in mind we have lined up a great night in 4 of our bars across the UK. So for the folks of Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and Camden get ready to experience Yeast!

Mikkeller constantly create beer by the series. This is always the purest way to discover the effect that small changes in recipe can effect the final beer. This newest series celebrates the unsung hero of brewing, but the one that can change the entire character and direction of a beer: yeast.

The Mikkeller yeast series contains six beers. They are all made with the same malt, same hops, and the same mash time and temperature. The only difference between the six beers is the yeast they are fermented with and the corresponding fermentation temperature. This has resulted in 6 hoppy Pale Ales with vastly different characters.

So if you really want to get to know your yeasts then head down to a BrewDog bar to see what difference Lager, English Ale, American Ale, Saison, Brettanomyces Lambicus and Brettanomyces Bruxellensis varieties make to the final beer.

Join us from 5pm on 16th March in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and Camden.

We love yeast, and so should you.

*We would have loved to do these events in all of our bars but we only got our paws on 4 sets of these super limited kegs.

Could you get the bottles in the online shop, as a six-pack? That would be awesome.
