Looking towards the beery horizon...

THE LATEST FROM PLANET BREWDOG

You can find out more about the new Equity for Punks share offering and download our investment prospectus here: www.brewdog.com/equityforpunks

As well as launching our new share offer, Equity for Punks IV, we have also been really busy working on some amazing new projects at BrewDog HQ over the last few weeks. We felt it was time to update you all with this awesome BrewDog news, which includes epic new places where our awesome Equity Punks can claim their discounts!

(And yes, we realise this a very long post, but then we have a lot of very good news to share!)

BrewDog Soho

We are going to burn it up in style in the big city. We have agreed heads of terms for a flagship London BrewDog site right in the heart of Soho. More details on this one will be announced at our AGM, but you can expect all the grit, glamour and cosmopolitan craziness that defines Soho, plus there will be a craft beer sex shop in the basement. Or maybe not.

BrewDog Merchant City

After a few minor delays, the designs are finalised, the drawings are out to tender and this mega site will feature a full kitchen with a new food offering, 30 killer craft taps and an integrated BottleDog. It will be open at the end of July. The site is at the corner of Hutcheson Street and Garth Street, in the heart of Glasgow’s vibrant Merchant City.

BrewDog Berlin

After searching for what seems like an eternity we finally have nailed a BrewDog location in one of our favourite cities in the world: Berlin. We don’t get the keys until September and we are just starting work on the designs here, so expect this one to be up and running by the end of 2015 as we look to shake up the most conservative beer market in Europe. BrewDog Berlin will be at Ackerstrasse 28, which is in Mitte.

BrewDog Leeds II

We are just in the process of appointing the contractor to do the renovation work on this site for us. We are looking to open in early-mid July. Look out for shuffleboard and retro pinball in the basement too! The new bar is located Crispin Lofts, on the corner of North Street and New York Road, at the southern edge of Lovell Park.

BrewDog Brighton

The deal is finally signed and the plans have just been finalised. We are looking at late July for our first south coast site. We will be turning the space into a craft beer mecca, a library of fermented masterpieces from all over the world. BrewDog Brighton will be at 52-54 Grand Parade.

Edinburgh BottleDog

BottleDog is coming north of the border with a location in Edinburgh’s New Town, where we’ll be aiming to fit as much amazing, fresh craft beer as we can into a single shop. Expect over 250 different bottles and cans, plus a dedicated growler filling station offering takeaway draught beer from BrewDog and cutting edge guest kegs. BottleDog Edinburgh is due to open in August 2015 and can be found at 25a Dundas Street.

Edinburgh Site II

This one is still top secret. But we have secured a deal on a 2nd Edinburgh bar location and are just in the process of licensing it. More details on this one soon. But you should all be as excited as we are about our second site in Scotland’s capital.

BrewDog Oslo

Norway is one of our best export markets and one of our favourite places to go, as it is home to one of the best up and coming craft beer scenes in Europe. Some of the best bars in the world are in Oslo are we are delighted to be adding to the already amazing craft beer and killer bar scene in this heart of the Nordic region. Our bar there will be over two floors and will have twenty taps. Opening in late May, it will be at Markveien 57, Grünerløkka.

BrewDog Rome

Our third BrewDog bar in Italy will be one of our highest profile bars in the world. Located on Via Del Monte Oppio, work has now started on the site which is within a stone’s throw of the Colosseum. Literally. We are going to combine 20 taps with beautiful exposed brick arches, and we already have some of Fisher’s amazing graffiti on the walls. Opening Summer 2015.

BrewDog Leicester

Our first new bar of 2015 is now officially open. Located on Friar Lane, between the town hall and the castle, our latest home for the craft beer fans of the East Midlands offers twenty curated taps of amazing beer. Our 20th UK bar also features vintage pinball, a tasting room, and serves a fantastic range of food, including outstanding coffee and even opens at 10am on weekends for breakfast.

BrewDog Brussels

Brussels is the de-facto capital of the European Union and the beer-facto capital of the universe. Belgium is home to the most fascinatingly diverse beer scene in the world, with styles ranging from lambic made by alchemy to tripels brewed by monks. We are psyched to be opening an amazing flagship bar in Brussels!

The modernist building, situated directly opposite the Central Station and about 200m from the Grand Place, was designed by the Belgian architect Maxime Brunfaut and built in 1952. The main bar area has a 6 meter ceiling with a majestic original staircase to the mezzanine area with a terrace are overlooking the city.

The site is located directly opposite the central station and will be open later in 2015. We will update you guys with a more accurate opening date soon!

BrewDog Angel

Our BrewDog Angel site has stalled a little due to some planning and licenses setbacks. We have now tweaked the original concept and are looking to open a BottleDog Store & BrewDog Bar hybrid in the heart of Islington. Our new license application for this concept is underway so we will hopefully be able to get cracking soon.

Born To Die

We love fresh beers. Especially fresh hoppy beers. Inspired by the brilliant beer (and concept) that is ‘Enjoy By…’ brewed by Stone Brewing Company, we have decided to launch our own similar concept with Born To Die.

We will launch two batches of Born to Die Imperial IPA in 2015 – each batch will be a ticking hoppy time bomb with only 35 days to enjoy the beer between the beer being packaged and the date which is printed on the label being reached.

The beer will be packaged in 660ml bomber bottles and will also be available in keg. We are just making very, very small batches of this beer so you are going to need to be fast to get your hands on it, and equally fast to drink it in all its hoppy glory!

Our Born To Die takes a huge amount of influence from the brilliant Stone ‘Enjoy By…’ series. It is with the support of Stone that we have put this together and our good friend Greg Koch at Stone was happy for us to be inspired by their concept and to put our own BrewDog spin on it.

Punk 500ml Cans

Punk IPA. In 500ml cans. From our new canning line. Like hop-filled mini tanks of awesomeness. Coming very, very soon.

The Beatnik Brewing Collective

The first ever Beatnik beer – the Bounty Hunter – is almost ready to rock. BrewDog’s shareholders are our heart and soul; the very core of our business. So Beatnik is solely for them. Our Equity Punks have full and complete control over all aspects of the Beatnik beers – its design, creation, look, feel, top speed, special move – the whole lot. And they even come to the brewery to help us brew it. The first ever Beatnik beer, a 6.5% chocolate & coconut stout is almost ready to rock.

BrewDog USA Brewery

We are also delighted to announce that we are looking for a site in Columbus, Ohio that would house our USA production brewery. We will hopefully be able to provide you all with more of an update on this as soon as we can. In the meantime, we will continue to work hard to make this plan a reality!

Rich for the Australian bars consider Brisbane & Perth. Both have great weather and booming craft beer scenes. Sydney should be last on the list.
Morten Aastad 06.05.2015 @ 10:22pm
Looking forward to the Oslo Bar. There's been some discussion among us local beer geeks to what extent it will be a "proper" BrewDog bar, my argument is that it will be, despite Norwegian laws making it necessary to name the place BD57, it will be proper BrewDog once you walk through the doors. Another question is whether the Equity for Punks perks will be honoured here, once again, Norwegian laws being the worry. In the meantime, I'm off to the great city of Stockholm this weekend and next week and my question is thus, can I flash my proof of Equity for Punks purchase in the bar, and how long, roughly, does it take before I get what I believe is some sort of ID card?

Oh, and my regards to the gang at the Cardiff bar. You really have a fine gang who knows how to treat a Norwegian beer geek there!

Looking forward to Leeds II. The staff at the original Leeds struggle manfully with the lack of space, they do a fantastic job but it would be great to see them in a full size Brewdog. Plus of course I only live at the other end of the road from Leeds II ;)
