BRETT CITRUS SAISON
Paying homage to Crooked Stave's favourite yeast, St. Bretta is fermented with their house mixed-culture of Brettanomyces. From its historic significance in old-world beers to this, the new age of Brett, they embrace this yeast as a focal point in their artisan brewery. A re-imagination of early farmhouse saisons brewed in Europe, St. Bretta combines fresh citrus characteristics with yeast-driven tropical fruit flavors and aromas. Unfiltered and naturally wild, they package each can with a small amount of yeast to maintain maximum freshness for wherever life's adventures take you.

Beer styles are the categorisation of beer into easily distinguishable types. When doing this we look at history, colour, carbonation, bitterness, ingredients, mouthfeel… the list goes on
We'd typically use a lightly kilned Base Malt in a beer recipe, then add Speciality malts (sometimes darker, more complex, different flavours) in small quantities to change the overall taste and colour of the beer.
Hops are used in loads of ways, and they can give different characteristics to beer such as Aroma and Bitterness– this is why they rock!
