Annual General Mayhem 2024

June 29th, 2024

The Annual General Mayhem (AGM) is happening at our Ellon Brewery HQ on June 29th, and your attendance is mandatory. Join us for a day of great food, live music, an ungodly amount of great beer and more. Have more fun than you thought was possible at a meeting.

This year we’re changing it up and will be hosting the Business update online in the weeks prior to the AGM event. More info on that to be sent out at a later date.

The AGM will still have an FAQ and tasting with James and Martin along with tours and tastings of incredible guest beers and spirits.

Bands Line-up

We have some special musical guests coming along to play at our Annual General Mayhem.  Set times and stage schedule will be released closer to the event date.

Yonaka

AGM veterans Yonaka all set for a rocking set. After the incredible feedback they got when playing our Online AGM and Open Arms we had to get them up the brewery to play for you.

Sound bends to the whim of emotion. For YONAKA, music morphs in tandem with moods. Distortion teems with tension in moments of heavy catharsis, only to come back down in an exhale of electronic reprieve. As such, the UK trio —Theresa Jarvis [vocals], Alex Crosby [bass], and George Werbrouck-Edwards [guitar]— fuse pop, punk, and hip-hop into a hypnotic alternative rock hybrid. The group burrow deep inside themes of mental health, empowerment and the here and now with clear intention and expansive vision. After amassing over 150 million streams and earning widespread acclaim, YONAKA kickstart the next chapter with the release of their upcoming Welcome To My House EP out now via LAVA/Republic Records.

The Lovebreakers

Fresh from supporting Green Day in London on their Coverups B project, we have The Lovebreakers. These guys are big BrewDog fans and so excited to see you all at the AGM.

Lovebreakers, hailing from Birmingham, create timeless, feel-good rock n’ roll music. They are Jack (vocals & guitar), Christian (bass), Chino (lead guitar) and Nathan (drums). Their debut full-length record “Primary Colours” was recorded in Costa Mesa, California. The album has a vibrant sound, drawing upon influences such as The Clash, Tom Petty and The Replacements. “Primary Colours” received radio play from nationwide stations such as BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio X. In recent times, Lovebreakers have shared the stage with Green Day's side project "The Coverups" and have completed a 5 week European tour with punk icons Social Distortion, before completing their own headline tours across the UK & on the European continent. Lovebreakers second record "Wonder" is out now on Gunner Records (EU) and Wiretap Records (US).

Chappaqua Wrestling

Chappaqua Wrestling are all set to head north to play you some amazing tracks from their 2023 album release, Plus Ultra. One to listen if you haven’t yet.

Chappaqua Wrestling are one of the UK’s most vital breakout bands. Across their debut album Plus Ultra, principal members and songwriters Jake Mac and Charlie Woods distil a sound that steps above the noise of the concrete every day - matching their songs about political despondency and societal lows while also conjuring up a feeling of hope.

With two sold-out UK headline tours already under their belts, while also having toured with Blossoms, Sports Team & Supergrass, their anthems for togetherness and clarity has found supporters from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, Radio X, NME, Clash, Consequence, DIY, Dork, Line of Best Fit + more.

Frankie Beetlestone

Finally, we have soloist Frankie Beetlestone on site to perform some of his highly praised solo indie songs for you.

Prepare to experience life through the eyes of 23-year-old singer-songwriter (but not that kind of singer-songwriter) and producer Frankie Beetlestone, whose anthems-in-the-
making take an idiosyncratic, preposterously charismatic view of society, youth, love and
the general notion of being alive right now, while always keeping one eye on the future.
Frankie’s sound is hard to ignore, and even harder to pin down. Frankie himself is no use
at all in this regard. “I make the music I want to make,” he says, as if banging out multi-
layered pop fizzing with mischievous inventiveness is the most normal thing in the world, “and I am exactly what I am.”
