Zeitgeist
Clockwork Tangerine

GREAT BEER IS GREAT BEER, NO MATTER WHEN YOU DRINK IT. BUT GIVE A LITTLE THOUGHT TO CONTEXT, AND YOU MIGHT FIND IT BECOMES TRANSCENDENT.

Our Seasonal beers convey the character of the time of year during which they are available; unquestionably suitable for drinking all year round, but truly immersive when experienced within their intended time on earth. This year, three return for their day in the sun (or wind, or rain), while Clockwork Tangerine makes the leap from Prototype to full release.

2018 SEASONALS

January - March Zeitgeist

Our idiosyncratic black lager is a spin on the ancient German and Czech tradition of brewing pilsners with a twist of dark malts. This extra dimension of chocolate, coffee and smoke in our light and biscuity brew is counterbalanced with a zesty twist of Cascade hops, bringing together old world and new, and invoking the passage of winter to spring.

April - June Clockwork Tangerine

New for 2018, our citrus-infused session IPA dials down the ABV but revs up the intensity with a blast of bright, pithy tangerine. Firm piney bitterness and  caramel malt provide a recognisable IPA profile, and spring the citrus hop notes from your glass - tangerine, grapefruit and hints of lime.

July - September Electric India

Long golden summer evenings are reflected in this vibrant hoppy saison, loaded with aromas of fresh cut lemon, nutmeg, clove and pepper. Half way between the classic Belgian farmhouse ale and the adopted style of the craft beer revolution, this  IPA/Saison hybrid brings together new world hops, Belgian yeast, and Scottish innovation - and leaves our brewery, bound for your glass, during the longest days of the year (three hours of daylight in Scotland).

October - December Slot Machine

In its first outing as a Seasonal, Cybernaut brings a blast of summery aromas and flavours to the darkest months of the year. Inspired by New England pales, this 4.5% New Wave Session IPA combines new world hops, wheat, and oats, to create a smooth, juicy and mellow profile. The lower ABV is balanced out by maintaining the same hop-load as a full scale NE IPA – mango, peach, pineapple and a burst of fresh grassy hops in abundance, with a low bitterness and a velvet mouthfeel.
