TopUp Dogs – your reward is on its way…

Over the course of the spring – which sure seems like a long time ago now – we gave our legion of loyal Equity Punks the opportunity to secure for themselves something money can’t buy. As part of TopUp Dog we gave our existing shareholders who re-invested in BrewDog during Equity for Punks IV the chance to get their hop-crusted hands on a printed copy of our entire back catalogue of beer recipes – a single print run hard copy of DIY Dog. Well, with Christmas just around the corner...

...for the 3,000 of you who became TopUp Dogs – they are now on their way.

James and Martin have been busy signing each and every copy that is currently winging its way to our shareholders who re-invested in the company we own together. This herculean feat of annotation took both of them several hours, but it was the least we could do for the thousands of beer fans who decided to re-up their support for BrewDog. The books are in the mail now, and should be arriving in the eager hands of our TopUp Dogs this week!

DIY Dog was the summation of our desire to pass on all that we have learned, as we approach our tenth anniversary. As many companies cling to the faded parchment sheets containing their secrets, we gave away the recipes to every BrewDog beer ever made, for free, to the amazing homebrewing community that has supported us since the very first Punk IPA brewday in Fraserburgh (and well before that, come to think of it). It is the ultimate in open-source brewing.

For anyone still after the chance to bastardise our recipes, try them at home and put their own unique spin on everything from Electric India to India Pale Weizen, Sunk Punk to Punk Monk, you can download DIY Dog as a pdf file here. But the only hard copies in existence are currently being dispatched to the incredible men and women who re-invested in us during Equity for Punks IV and helped build the company which together produced all those hundreds of different beers.

So as a thank you, those Equity Punks will very soon have their own exclusive copy to annotate as they go and spill beer on whilst they brew, or simply read whilst drinking their favourite current BrewDog beer as they look through our decade-long brewing history. 236 beers, in black and white. It is a snapshot of our history – and for our 3,000 TopUp Dogs who supported us by re-investing during Equity for Punks IV, that history will (very soon) be at their fingertips.

If you qualified for a copy, we hope you enjoy reading it between the turkey and Christmas pudding - and let us know what you’re going to brew first!
