Festive beer and gift packs make a return…

Forget the John Lewis ad for a moment – the real sign that Christmas is around the corner is the appearance of festive beers on shelves and bar counters up and down the country, and the all-important gift sets. Brewers have to kick things off earlier than most; the first production of our Christmas releases gives the brewhouse an unseasonably festive aroma months ahead of anywhere else. But the results of that are more than worth waiting for…

Here's a quick run-down of our festive offerings available now!

Santa Paws

You can buy Santa Paws online here

First up is a firm festive favourite - our session-strength Scotch Ale Santa Paws. With eight different malts unified in its winter embrace, it is a celebration of the character that the most important ingredient in brewing can bestow. Deeply complex and full-bodied, Santa Paws is perfect for the time of year when the days last only a few hours, and coming in at 4.5% ABV means that it can be your ideal fuel for whatever wintry pursuits you have in mind.

In the glass, the beer comes alive like a festive dessert, with flavours of toffee and fruit cake, chocolate and espresso. The subtle balance of hops are there on the flavour too, but the role of the Willamette, First Gold and Mount Hood are to provide bitterness and spice to complement the depth and intricacy of the malt bill. With a lingering aftertaste of dark fruit and smoke, Santa Paws is the perfect way to end (or begin) any festive celebration.

Jack Hammer Gift Sets

Also live in our online shop today is the answer to the prayers of anyone who knows a fan of hops but isn't quite sure what to get them for Christmas. Every celebration worthy of being marked on the calendar deserves to be commemorated with hops, and there’s no reason yuletide should be any different - so we have the first of our BrewDog gift sets ready and waiting! Jack Hammer is a eulogy to summers departed – the piledriver of resin is a sure-fire winner for being opened on Christmas morning (or before, come to think of it).

With more gift sets to follow, keep an eye on our online shop!

For those who like their festive treats on draft, we have Santa Paws launching in our UK Bars from 6pm tonight, Thursday 17th November. It will be joined on tap by its erstwhile partner in crime Hoppy Christmas - a beer so popular that when offered yesterday to our epic army of Equity for Punks shareholders first as an exclusive (as we do with all our beers for the people who have invested in us), the entire batch of Hoppy Christmas bottles sold out in a single day! More is on the way however, so check the online shop soon.

Head down to your nearest BrewDog bar tonight (Thursday 17th) and start that festive countdown. Christmas jumper optional…

So here it is, Hoppy Christmas, Everybody's having fun ..... (sorry Slade).
I managed to have a couple of cheeky Hoppy Christmases on draught last night ...

Also, I hope Tokyo* does age well, as I've several bottles laid down for future "testing"
Will there be a special Xmas Paradox this year ?
BrewDog Rich 18.11.2016 @ 10:26am
Chris Moss - We love the Paradox releases in boxes, absolutely! And Tokyo* will age really well, it has the body and strength to stand up to months or even years of ageing

Is there any chance of more special releases in boxes? Just because they look so sweet while aging for a few years! Also, any idea how tokyo does with aging?

Christmas doesn't start until December in my house although the beers are an exception...
