Our plans for the next 6 months

Our plans for the next 6 months

2014 has rocked so far. We have steadily expanded our new brewery, added great new people to the team, opened some awesome new bars at home and overseas and launched our brand new packaging. In the last 12 months we have also annoyed the Russian government, gone head to head with the Portman Group and witnessed a fake BrewDog bar opening in China.

The next few months look to be just as eventful. Here is an insight into our plans for the rest of 2014 and into 2015.

New BrewDog Bars in the UK

The next bar to open will be BrewDog Liverpool. Located at 1 Manolis Yard on Colquit Street the brand new bar will be open in mid-late October and will feature 30 draft lines, 2 gnarly old shipping containers converted into beer cellars and a weird outside-inside-outside thing that we love without really understanding.

We have also agreed a deal for the former Blind Tiger in Brighton. We are just finalising designs and will look to be open in 16 weeks time. Furthermore we are just waiting on final planning permissions on our new Glasgow Merchant City site. This is taking longer than hoped, mainly due to the complete incompetence of Glasgow City Council so unfortunately it is looking like early 2015 for this bar. In addition we have secured a much bigger site in Leeds (at Crispin Lofts on New York Road) and when this site opens in around March 2014 the plan is to turn the existing Leeds bar into a BottleDog.

Our great BrewDog Bar Hunt is currently open – earn money by helping us find new sites!

Dog Eat Dog

Dog Eat Dog. 29 Essex Road, London. Coming Soon. Craft beers, killer hot dogs with a few little surprises too.

New International BrewDog Bars

It's all go outside the UK too! In Bologna and Barcelona, we've got sites and we've started building work. Watch out for details on both of these coming soon. Helsinki (*watches comments section crash*) will be launching in around 8 weeks' time. Check out the location here. In Berlin, we've got an offer in on an amazing site, we are just waiting to see what happens. Crossing our fingers! We've got a partner and some plans are starting to get drawn up in Norway – more on that soon, and in Paris we are hunting high and low for an epic site. Know of one? Email [email protected]!

2014 Prototype Challenge

We are currently putting together the recipes and pilot batches for our 2014 prototype challenge. Without giving too much away, you can possibly expect a flavour forward gluten free ale, a super tasty sub 3% hopped up mild, a spin on an amber ale with some alt beer influence (Alt as in the old German beer style as opposed to ‘alternative’) and an IPA utilizing slightly unusual hopping schedules. These will be available for you to try in early December.

New Packaging Roll Out

We will continue to roll out our new packaging with the Amplified labels now rolling off the line, new can designs in place and the Abstrakt bottles getting a slight overhaul too.

Cans & Bombers!

You can soon look forward to much more BrewDog beers in both cans and 660ml bombers. Our super new canning line arrives in early 2015 and we have also upgraded our existing bottling line giving us the ability to package more beer into bombers. Sometimes* 330ml just is not enough.
*sometimes = often

India Pale Weizen

What do you get if we cross the world’s oldest brewery, BrewDog and 2 of the world’s classic beer styles. India Pale Weizen. Obviously. Our collaboration with Weihenstephan is currently fermenting away using their special wheat beer yeast they flew over from Germany just for this beer.

Pumpkin Head

Just for Halloween. Label a work in progress. Costumes optional.

#Collabfest 2014

After its debut smash last year, we are yet again rocking the biggest collaboration project known to man! All of our UK bars (except DogTap) are currently mashing in with their favourite local breweries, and their beers will all launch simultaneously across our UK bars in late October. Stay tuned for details on the breweries and dates in the coming weeks!

More Fermentation Tanks

We still cannot keep up with the demand for BrewDog beers. The solution – add more fermentation tanks! We have 12 new fermentation tanks arriving over the next few months which will add almost 80% to our current production capacity.

New Website

We are currently building an amazing new BrewDog website.

Loads of New People

As we grow we are looking for a lot of talented, passionate people who want to help us change the world of beer. We are recruiting for a range of new roles. Check out more details are here.

Love Hops & Live the Dream,

BrewDog x

seconded for taking a look at the first batch of bars, Edinburgh is mobbed at the weekend seeing as its in stag-do central, somewhere around the hanging bat on Lothian Road would be welcome and far enough away to justify. When I visited mates up north in Aberdeen a couple of weeks ago too it was the same story - ended up in that Belgian place across the road because your place was mobbed. Would say the same for Glasgow but at least the Merchant City plans are in motion

Glad to hear more gluten free beers. Mikkellers I wish IPA is brilliant.Any plans for a second bar in Edinburgh maybe towards the west end of the city?
Chandalf 23.09.2014 @ 10:15pm
Stop opening new bars. Take a look at some of the first batch. I am more likely to visit the bar in Camden than the one in my home town of Edinburgh because it is so inaccessible. I dont think its the only one.

@Paul HI think if we are happy to still call people like Sierra Nevada craft, then BrewDog have a hell of a lot of growing to do before they reach that limit.

When are you opening something in the Netherlands? We need good beer overhere... We only have three good pilsner overhere... But there is a huge demand and need for rockstar beers like yours...... Heineken is not beer or pilsner.... Its crap to be honest.... Unworthy of the name beer.... Brewdog on the other hand.... Thats beer!
