2014 IN 140 CHARACTERS...

We don’t know about you – but our 2014 was an absolute rollercoaster!

Social media has given the world so many great things since its birth – one of which being the ability to look back at your year like some sort of electronic scrapbook. Since we got up to all sorts of awesome stuff last year: redesigning the labels on our beers, having a spat with those Portman Group luddites, filming a T.V. show and even taking a pop at Russian premier Vladimir Putin – we decided to do just that!

So here’s our 2014 in 140 characters…

10. Animal Magic

2014 saw us redesign our labels to a rapturous reception. However, James also gave us a snapshot of what could’ve been…

9. Decoration for Punks

In 2014 we expanded our brewery in Ellon to keep up with the huge demand for our beer. We decided we needed to add a bit more of a BrewDog feel to the place - so we got our man Fisher on the case!

8. Hello My Name is Bowie

In October we launched Konnichiwa Kitsune. This yuzu-infused double IPA inspired us to get a bit lyrical when we made the announcement - © Jareth the Goblin King

7. Reassuringly Defensive

Our hop-pup Simcoe really came into his own this year and has firmly taken charge around the office. However, he’s not all work, work, work - here’s an example of the kind of shenanigans we catch him at on a regular basis!

6. The real AGM Headliner

Speaking of Simcoe... He was also the headline speaker at the 2014 Punk AGM!

5. The BrewDogs diet

Martin gave us a very interesting snapshot into how the BrewDog Captains eat whilst filming the Brew Dogs T.V. series.

4. Arise, Sir Truck...

Our beer truck hit the road for the first time this year. This beery colossus will be used for all kind of awesome events and we decided it needed an equally kick-ass name. We asked: the Twittersphere provided!

3. #SorryNotSorry

Dead Pony caused a bit of a stir in 2014 when the Portman Group threw their toys out of the pram over the wording on our labels. As expected though, the public saw sense and rallied to our side.

2. From Russia Without Love

In case you missed it, we also took a stand against Vladimir Putin’s anti-homosexuality laws this year with our Hello, My Name Is Vladimir beer. Unfortunately, the KGB got wind of it and decided to exact some revenge on our commander-in-chief with some cruel and unusual punishment.

1. Global Milestone

2014 was a fantastic year for us and in this final tweet, James gave us a little snapshot into how far we’ve come since 2007 in our mission to make people as passionate about great craft beer as we are.

Who knows what 2015 has in store for us – maybe we’ll recruit our own army of brewing penguins that we’ve been looking into or release BrewDog: The Movie! The one thing we can be sure of is that as long as we’re breathing, we’ll continue brewing kick-ass craft beer for the world to enjoy.

Dead Pony needs a lemur on the label. In fact, put them on all the bottles. BrewLemur
