BrewDog Girls Brewing Lock In

(Dear Melissa Cole,)
The girls at BrewDog are proud to be part of the awesome craft beer scene in the UK, and love working the front lines of an innovative brewery which is constantly challenging and reimagining the very definition of beer. Yet we feel women still get side-lined in an industry that is perceived to be the purview of the male. We are tired of being told that our beverage of choice is not for us, of being offered a mediocre wheat beer with a slice of orange when we ask at the bar what beer they’d recommend.
Partly inspired by the recent article in Observer magazine, showcasing BrewDogCamden's own Zara Hale's skills as a homebrewer, and the discussion we had right here in November last year, we’ve decided to claim 2013 as the year women take to the helms of craft brewing. Recognising the work you have done in the UK encouraging women to put down the prosecco and pick up a pale, we would like to extend the invitation for you to join us for the UK’s first ever all female in house brew.
Worthy of any BrewDog tap, us girls have put together a secret recipe for a beer we'd love to drink (we're a pretty selfish lot, afterall!) and on the 28th of January we will be putting down our pens and bar blades in favour of heat proof wellington boots and dungarees. Led by our own resident queen of the brew house and crowning beauty of #BrewPix, Charlotte, the BrewDog Birds will be mashing in, digging out and sending to tank a beer of our own conception.
Much as we love the gents of BrewDog, they can be a bossy bunch sometimes and so,in one of the first small batch brews to happen in the revamped Fraserburgh brewery, we’re having a girls only brewery lock in and it would be great to see you there.
RSVP with the hashtag #BrewBirds and let's get talking about the year the ladies took to the forefront of craft beer.
