DRAFT HOUSE ABERDEEN IS HERE

A decade ago, when we started out on our mission, Aberdeen was a very different place to what it is today. The craft beer scene in our hometown is frankly unrecognisable now – and we absolutely love it. This week, things are set to get even better. Our community of Equity Punks, Ellon crewmembers and customers in the city will have another hop-forward outpost to head to – as we bring the very first Draft House pub to Scotland.

The Hop & Anchor opens at 12pm today, Friday March 8th.

Located at 33 Exchange Street (AB11 6PH) this modern take on the traditional pub follows on from Draft House Farringdon in London as the second new Draft House to open up within the last few months. Just a five minute walk along the curve of Shiprow from our Castlegate bar, the Hop & Anchor is a stone’s throw from the harbour and literally over the road from Union Square and Aberdeen station.

Inside you’ll find 12 taps pouring a range of different beers from ourselves and breweries we know and love, with ten keg taps and two rotating cask ales on offer. New beers will include the only chance north of the border to try our collaboration series of three different beers brewed with Sierra Nevada, Victory Brewing and Schneider Weisse as well as Dead Pony Club on cask!

Alongside the beers, our latest Draft House will serve up a full menu of food, on offer every day of the week. Pub classic such as freshly-made burgers, wings, pies and more are ably supported by an epic full roast on Sunday, served from 12pm. And yes, the Hop & Anchor will also be taking part in the now-legendary Wings Wednesday.

Our Draft House Aberdeen opens up for the first time at 12pm today, Friday 7th Marchand will then be open 12pm-1am every day of the week. To celebrate bringing our Draft Houses north of the border, the first 80 people inside today will be entered into a raffle to win a £500 bar tab!
