SIREN SHOWCASE & FATHER’S DAY AT BREWDOG

Back in the day, when BrewDog came howling into the world it was the hop-forward pale ales of the United States that inspired us. The UK beer scene was a very different place then; we had to go elsewhere to get that citrus and resin fix. Well what a difference a decade makes. This side of the Atlantic now produces the best craft beer on the planet. And this coming Friday we are celebrating British Beer Day by throwing open our bars to one of the scene-leaders.

On Friday 15th June we are having a UK BrewDog Bar showcase of Siren Craft Brew.

Historic market towns in the Home Counties might not be where you’d expect to find cutting-edge craft brewing, but if you meander in a south-westerly direction from Wokingham you’ll find not one but two directly over the road from each other. Opposite Elusive Brewing is Siren Craft Brew, who appeared on the scene in 2012 and very quickly made waves, being voted second best brewery in the world by users of RateBeer within their second year.

Friday is going to be a barnstormer of a day as we have collected a series of amazing kegs from Siren, all pouring on British Beer Day which coincides with the first three-match day of the 2018 World Cup (which you can watch with a Siren beer in our BrewDog FanZones). For the brewery that created the Rainbow Project we have of course included a few amazing collaborations in the beer list for the Siren tap takeover.

Each of our UK Bars will have a different selection of Siren craft beer but keep an eye out for the insane Caribbean Chocolate Cake brewed with Cigar City, and the Hibiscus, Chamomile and Orange Zest Biere de Mars created with Spanish sensations Naparbier. Other treats include a cold-brew coffee lager, a Motueka single-hop IPA and the mighty 9.5% ABV Breakfast Shake – an imperial wheat stout brewed with coffee and cacao. How does that all sound?

The Siren beers will be pouring from our UK Bars at 6pm this Friday, June 15th. Last month’s Buxton takeover was immense and we can’t wait to pour Siren beers this coming Friday!

Also hitting up our bars very soon we are rocking a series of treats for those hard-working Dads out there. Father’s Day will be here on Sunday June 17th and if your old man is into his beer then head along to your local BrewDog Bar to treat him. Your Punk Dad not only eats for free in our bar this coming Sunday but we can also school the pair of you in the wonders of craft beer.

Yes, we are running 2-4-1 BrewDog Beer Schools on Sunday the 17th so you can either introduce or affirm your father’s love of beer whilst sharing in one of our tutored tastings. Just book in advance and we will do the rest! That link is also the place to book him in for that free meal, so all you need to do is sort a card. Check the website for full T&C’s and give your father the ultimate beery treat on Father’s Day this coming Sunday!
