We've come a long way from the days of two guys, a dog and endless hours working a battered brew kit to the bone, hell-bent on bringing great craft beers to the world. To acknowledge the dedication and commitment of our passionate staff, and as part of our commitment to becoming the best employer ever, we implemented the Living Wage in October 2014.
By becoming a Living Wage employer, we are ensuring that all BrewDog employees in the UK receive at least the recognised Living Wage rate calculated by the Living Wage Foundation for their location. This will cost us an extra £1 million in 2015 alone and an extra £10m over the next 5 years as we add more new faces to our team.
The Living Wage is 21% higher than the National Minimum Wage. We see this as a hugely important investment in ensuring the future of our mission to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are, and recognising the importance of our team, which is our most valuable asset.
