The Transatlantic IPA first brewed at 40,000 feet to celebrate the British Airways centenary in 2019 is back in the air. Designed by the winner of our Air Graphic Control competition, we’re delighted to unveil Ross Brock’s artwork that will suit up every can of Speedbird OG in the sky.

Pick up your Speedbird OG cans exclusively on board British Airways flights or order some online and store them safely in the overhead lockers (or the fridge, whichever you prefer).

THE WINNING DESIGN

Hundreds of you entered our Air Graphic Control competition to design the new can of Speedbird OG, so we assembled an independent panel of BrewDog and British Airways creative experts to find a worthy winner. Our panel thought Ross Brock’s design was the perfect blend of blue sky thinking and British Airways colour palette compliance. With a bit of tinkering and Photoshop-based magic from our design team co-pilots, Ross’s can was cleared for take off.

Ross designed us a brilliant can. So it’s only fair we rewarded him for his efforts. Ross won a year’s supply of Speedbird OG. A pair of BA Euro Traveller flights of their choice. And a trip to our brewery in Ellon for the ultimate beer experience. Ross took his best mate along with both of their dads and his dad’s dog (naturally) along for the trip. They spent a couple of nights in Aberdeen on us, and then travelled to Ellon for a beer-filled day with our team.

THE NEED FOR SPEED(BIRD)

There are two ways to get your hands on SpeedBird OG. Either book a BA flight (it’s as good an excuse as any) and ask the cabin crew politely. Or fly over to our online shop and stock up for the unlikely event of an emergency of running out of beer inside your house. Of course there is the secret third option of booking a BA flight, drinking one on board and then stocking up for when you get home and you want to relive the memories.
